We sat down with fitness expert, Leah Simmons, spoke about this topic that people often avoid, in mental health. Les believes that being healthy is not physical but psychological. Mental illness affects 1 in 2 Aussies in their lives with only 1/3. Leia shared her top five tips for a healthy mind.

Start your day right
Prepare yourself for a day of success. Before accessing our phones are guilty of many people to do first thing in the morning. Les takes time out of every morning meditation and breathing before starting today.
Remove bad words
It sounds simple, but one of the first steps that will lead to a healthy mind, Leah believes is negative clearance of your life, for example the words good and bad and right/wrong. Seeing the world as contradictions can get, and take each day as its own.
Talk to yourself
LEA explains that when she feels overwhelmed she loves to take a step back and ask themselves some simple questions. "In my life now, I am OK?" forget all the small stuff and focus on the big picture. In these times it is important to stop and think about the things you're grateful for.
Don't be afraid to exercise
Should not exercise a chore, it should be something you enjoy. LEA explains that if you want to run or do HIIT class not you something you don't need to worry. There should be the word "exercise" scary. Some top tips for her to catch up with a friend for a walk, walking the long road home and ride your bike to the grocery store.
Change
"Crazy trying to do the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." And you can make small changes to your lifestyle one easy way to boost your mood and get moving. A few examples gives Leah is going to a coffee shop or go for a walk in your lunch break instead of sitting down to lunch.
